Old Testament
Psa 98:1~102:28
Ps 98
1 Sing to Jehovah a new song, / For He has done wonderful things. / His right hand and His holy arm / Have accomplished salvation for Him.
2 Jehovah has made His salvation known; / In the sight of the nations / He has revealed His righteousness.
3 He remembered His lovingkindness and His faithfulness / Toward the house of Israel; / All the ends of the earth have seen / The salvation of our God.
4 Make a joyful noise to Jehovah, all the earth; / Break forth, and sing for joy, and sing psalms.
5 Sing psalms to Jehovah with the lyre, / With the lyre and the sound of melody.
6 With trumpets and the sound of the horn / Make a joyful noise before the King, Jehovah.
7 Let the sea and its fullness roar, / The world and those who inhabit it.
8 Let the rivers clap their hands; / Let the mountains sing for joy together
9 Before Jehovah, for He is coming / To judge the earth. / He will judge the world with righteousness / And the peoples with equity.
Ps 99
1 Jehovah reigns; let the peoples tremble. / He is enthroned between the cherubim; let the earth shake.
2 Jehovah is great in Zion, / And He is exalted over all the peoples.
3 Let them praise Your great and awesome name — / It is holy —
4 And the strength of the King, who loves justice. / You have established equity; / You have executed / Justice and righteousness in Jacob.
5 Exalt Jehovah our God, / And worship at His footstool; / Holy is He.
6 Moses and Aaron among His priests, / And Samuel among those who called on His name — / They called out to Jehovah, / And He answered them.
7 In the pillar of cloud He spoke to them; / They kept His testimonies and the statute that He gave them.
8 O Jehovah our God, You answered them; / You were a forgiving God to them, / Yet One avenging their deeds.
9 Exalt Jehovah our God, / And worship on His holy mountain; / For holy is Jehovah our God.
Ps 100
1 Make a joyful noise to Jehovah, all the earth.
2 Serve Jehovah with rejoicing; / Come before His presence with joyful singing.
3 Know that it is Jehovah who is God; / It is He who has made us and not we ourselves. / We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
4 Enter His gates with thanksgiving, / His courts with praise; / Give thanks to Him; bless His name.
5 For Jehovah is good; His lovingkindness is forever, / And His faithfulness is to all generations.
Ps 101
1 I will sing of lovingkindness and justice; / To You, O Jehovah, I will sing psalms.
2 I will give careful heed to the perfect way. / When will You come to me? / I will walk in the perfectness of my heart / Within my house.
3 I will not set anything base / Before my eyes; / I hate what those who turn aside do; / It will not cling to me.
4 A perverse heart will depart from me; / No evil will I know.
5 He who secretly slanders his neighbor, / Him I will destroy; / He who is of a haughty look and a proud heart, / Him I will not tolerate.
6 My eyes are on the faithful of the land, / That they may abide with me; / He who walks in the perfect way, / He will minister to me.
7 He who practices deceit / Will not dwell within my house; / He who speaks lies will not be maintained / In my sight.
8 Morning by morning I will destroy / All the wicked of the land, / In order to cut off from the city of Jehovah / All the workers of iniquity.
Ps 102
1 O Jehovah, hear my prayer; / And let my cry come unto You.
2 Do not hide Your face from me / On the day of my distress; / Incline Your ear to me; / On the day when I call out, answer me quickly.
3 For my days are consumed in smoke, / And my bones burn like a hearth.
4 My heart is stricken like grass and dried up; / Indeed I have even forgotten to eat my bread.
5 Because of the voice of my groaning / My bones cling to my flesh.
6 I am like a pelican of the wilderness; / I have become like an owl of the desolate places.
7 I watch, and I am like / A lone sparrow on a housetop.
8 All day long my enemies reproach me; / Those who deride me use me as a curse.
9 For I have eaten ashes like bread, / And have mixed my drink with weeping,
10 Because of Your indignation and Your wrath; / For You have taken me up and cast me away.
11 My days are like a shadow that declines, / And I am dried up like grass.
12 But You, O Jehovah, abide forever; / And Your memorial is from generation to generation.
13 You will arise and have compassion on Zion, / For it is time to be gracious to her; the appointed time has come.
14 For Your servants take pleasure in her stones, / And show favor to her dust.
15 And the nations will fear the name of Jehovah, / And all the kings of the earth, Your glory;
16 For Jehovah has built up Zion; / He has appeared in His glory.
17 He has regarded the prayer of the destitute, / And has not despised their prayer.
18 This will be written for a generation to come, / And a people to be created will praise Jehovah.
19 For He has looked down from the height of His sanctuary; / From heaven Jehovah beheld the earth,
20 To hear the groaning of the prisoner, / To release those appointed to die;
21 That the name of Jehovah may be declared in Zion, / And His praise, in Jerusalem,
22 When the peoples are gathered together, / And the kingdoms, to serve Jehovah.
23 He has weakened my strength in the way; / He has shortened my days.
24 I said, My God, / Do not take me away in the middle of my days; / Your years are throughout all generations.
25 Of old You laid the foundation of the earth, / And the heavens are the work of Your hands.
26 They will perish, but You endure; / Indeed all of them will wear out like a garment; / Like clothing You will change them, / And they will be changed.
27 But You are the same, / And Your years are without end.
28 The children of Your servants will continue, / And their seed will be established before You.
New Testament
1 Cor 5:1~13
1 5
1 It is actually reported that there is fornication among you, and such fornication that does not even occur among the Gentiles, that someone has his stepmother.
2 And you are puffed up? And have you not rather mourned, that the one who has done this deed might be removed from your midst?
3 For I, on my part, though being absent in the body but present in the spirit, have already judged, as if being present, him who has thus done this,
4 In the name of our Lord Jesus, when you and my spirit have been assembled, with the power of our Lord Jesus,
5 To deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of his flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord.
6 Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?
7 Purge out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, even as you are unleavened; for our Passover, Christ, also has been sacrificed.
8 So then let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
9 I wrote to you in my letter not to mingle with fornicators,
10 But not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous and rapacious, or idolaters, since then you would have to go out of the world.
11 But now I have written to you not to mingle with anyone who is called a brother, if he is a fornicator or a covetous man or an idolater or a reviler or a drunkard or a rapacious man, with such a one not even to eat.
12 For what have I to do with judging those who are outside the church? Do you not judge those who are within the church?
13 But those who are outside, God will judge. Remove the evil man from among yourselves.
